What?

The overall objective is to support the establishment of better trained and efficient administrative structures at municipal level which shall successfully implement the requirements of the new environmental legislation.

We will achieve this purpose by:

• Strengthening municipal capacity for efficient environmental management with emphasis on investment planning
• Improving the system for training environmental experts by establishing a Training, Information and Consultancy Centre
• Improving the coordination between the municipalities and the main structures of MoEW by establishing an Environmental Informational System based on data exchange
• Strengthening BAMEE and in this way supporting the municipalities to implement the environmental legislation at local level.
