Yellow Container action

From this year 2007 municipalities are obliged to inform the public about sorting of waste. In this project the EU project is cooperating with Sliven municipality on a campaign for separate collection of waste. There are several purposes for this campaign:

  • To get the project and its purposes known in Sliven, using the action as media attraction
  • To present to municipality the results of a campaign as a tool in the future work for fulfilling their obligation for information to the public.
  • To create a network between schools and municipality for future campaigns on nature and environment
  • To link to the project "Separate collection of Hazardous household waste"

The issue in this campaign is to explain why it is needed to sort the waste. Unsorted waste can be hazardous, sorted waste can be used as resources.
