How?

The project will:

• Prepare a detailed report on the administrative capacity of the pilot municipalities for the implementation of environmental legislation
• Create a model for developing a training centre, develop training programme and train trainers
• Propose improvements in the existing municipal environmental structures, including human resources
• Update the environmental programme for Sliven municipality which will form basis for application for EU funds and set an example for other municipalities
• Establish Environmental Information System to coordinate information between the municipalities and MoEW structures and offer training in the use of this system to pilot municipalities
• Develop a plan for the sustainability of BAMEE, connect BAMEE to other EU professional institutions i.e. through a study tour to Denmark
• Ensure that the project results will be disseminated to all Bulgarian environmental institutions and NGOs.
